Anahita Topics enables the members of your social network to create topics and participate in discussions. It is an ideal communication medium for people who are collaborating and communicating with each other on a regular basis to share ideas, manage projects, or provide customer support.

Instances of the Topics app can be enabled within all types of actor profiles (people, groups, events, etc.) and the profile admins are granted administration and moderation privileges for the topics and comments within the context of their own profiles.

This app is specifically developed for a social networking environment which makes it the next evolutionary step after what traditional online forums and discussion boards have been until now.

Nurture a more responsible community

Traditional forums and discussion boards are mainly moderated by the global admins and moderators. This is a very top-down and controlling style of management, which goes against the nature of a social network that aims to nurture a bottom up democracy and meritocracy.

When instances of the Topics app are enabled within the people and groups profiles, the task of moderation and community management is by large distributed and that means the profile admins and creators are responsible to maintain and moderate their own domains. This would be a more scalable approach for managing an ever growing community and it contributes to growing a more responsible and self governing community.
