Works within people & groups profiles - Anahita ™ Discussion's instances can work natively within the profiles of people and specialized groups. This setup allows the group creators and admins of these groups to take responsibility for managing their own domains. This is a far more democratic approach for nurturing a community in comparison with the traditional forum applications that mostly rely on a top-down control structure and management.
Profile Gadgets - The profile gadget displays the most recent topics and comments by the followers of a profile.
Generates Story Updates - Stories are generated as people start topics and and comment on them. You can even comment on a topic right from the story feed without having to go to the topic page.
Email Notifications - Subscribers to a group, project, or event that uses the Anahita™ discussions, receive email notifications for all the topics and comments that are created. Followers can also individually subscribe to the topics.
Sticky Topics - a topic can be flagged as "Sticky" so it will always appear on top of the list.
Privacy Settings - privacy settings for a board or topic can be set to: public, registered, followers, and administrators.
Visual and HTML editors - say goodbye to BBCODE and start using real html tags in your topics and comments. A list of safe html tags are supported: a, ul, ol, li, blockquote, strong, em, img
Basic HTML syntax and Code Highlighting - using some basic html tags a, em, strong, lu, li, code, a topic's or comment's body can be formatted. Code snips will be shown with coloured syntax.
RSS Feeds - RSS feeds are generated for a board, list of topics, and comments on a topic.
Distributed Moderation Tools - since the Anahita™ Discussions runs as instances within people and group's profiles, the owners and admins of those profiles are able and responsible to maintain and moderate their own instances.
Admins can edit and delete topics or comments. They can also remove unwanted people from their groups.
