premium apps
Am I missing a teaser page that shows me what apps I can access if I sign on as a premium subscriber? Aside from the open-source apps for download, is there a marketplace or forum for buying and selling premium apps developed by the the premium user community? Sorry if I am missing the obvious. As a newcomer, I love the product so far even though I can't access all the functionality in the demo.
Hi @Schaeffer welcome to Anahitapolis
First there is no demo. This website is where we manage all of our projects, develop software, distribute it, and provide support for it. It is all developed using Anahita. We distribute the same code that we are using to run our day to day operation.
Anahita is distributed at no charge while social apps and extensions are distributed to the Premium memebers only. The software license for Anahita and apps is GPL3. That means all the software that we develop is open source.
Currently all the distributed apps via Bazaar (Aahita's app store in the admin back-end of Anahita) are developed by the Anahita team and not the premium members. Perhaps later we will provide the option for the 3rd party developers to distribute their apps through the Bazaar service.
Is there a way to get a sense of the range of social apps & extensions distributed via Bazaar before pulling the trigger on joining as a premium subscriber? I'm already leaning that way, I just want to be rigorous in my window shopping.
Take look at the download link which shows the list of apps available.
and the list of 1.6 Embryo release apps are here
http://www.anahitapolis.com/index.php?option=com_bzserver&view=packages&store=embryo-releases
The current main apps are: Groups, Topics, Pages, Todos, Subscriptions, and Photos.
One note: the premium plans have little to do with obtaining the apps and more todo with learning to develop your particular project using the Anahita framework and platform and customize what Anahita and apps already provide. We also lean towards programing and coding methods rather than point and click methods. As the description of Anahita says we provide the foundations and you will be finishing it off yourself. That way you build your project on a light and solid infrustructure rather than using a heavy and feature bloated technology.
and all the apps are installed on Anahitapolis and you are using them as we speak :)
Hi Rastin,Since I want to know more about premium apps I thought I'd join the conversation here. I'm interested in creating a community which would show their work, comment on it.What I'm particularily interested in is giving regular user a possibility to post their work (I assume using Pages plugin). I can't find it anywhere over here. I have a few questions:-Can you create a template of fields of that content type? Can some elements be standarized? Or is it just a WYSIWYG editor?-Is there a search engine that could crawl through the pages or even filter depending on particular fields? Moreover I'd like to ask if there's any "paid membership" or "paid subscription" plugin for Anahita?
Hi Chris welcome to Anahitapolis,
You can build an Anahita app with all the specifics that you want and you can use any of the existing apps (pages, topics, todos, etc. ) as blueprints and examples to learn how to build yours. It will be an app for people to share their works on their own profiles or within any other actor profiles (groups, events, organizations, etc.)
Hi Rastin,I'm curious about exsisting premium apps too.
1)Is there any possibilities that I will see some screenshots of various apps enabled & used webpages ?
2)And has anybody ever solved an e-learning or e-commerce case with Aahita , did that need a lot of coding?(My apologies if this question isn't appropriate in this group)
3)Have you ever made a simplified-chinese language pack? (If not, I'd love to make one with your guidance, probably after being a premium member? lol )
Hi @Ya Jun Wu welcome to Anahitapolis
1. All the apps are available on your profile and you can enable more of them if you go under edit profile > apps
2. I don't think so, I believe Anahitapolis is the only network that is functioning as a learning environment and eCommerce. eLearning is a very broad concept and there are many ways to implement it, one way would be implementing and configuring apps follwoing the IMS Standards so they can be used in a more traditional education environment. There are several premium tribe members who are interested in the eLearning topic as well as myself. It is only a matter of time that somebody launches an elearning project in Anahita.
3. I'm afraid no, becuase I can only speak 2 languages, but if you wanted to make one we will be happy to help. We offer 3 months of free membership to premium members who share their language packages.
Thanks for your time Rastin,
I've translated all the en-GB ini files into zh-CN, but still some words won't appear in Chinese as I set.
1)edit profile - Permissions - (Stories) (app_name issue)
2)edit profile - Account - (User name & Email & Verify password)
(fixed by modifying/components/com_people/views/settings/html/account.php)
3)edit profile - Info - Gender - ( male & female ...)
(fixed by modifying/components/com_actors/views/settings/html/profile.php)
4)webpage title (i.e. dashboard)
You are most welcome, although I must say while we really appreciate your effort, we also need to stay consistent with our terms. In this group we only discuss what Anahita is, does, or does not. How to do things in Anahita are discussed in the Premium Groups so if we are going to work together on building translation files we can do it in this group: http://www.anahitapolis.com/groups/group/29548-anahita-language-packages-project
and in order to access that group you need to upgrade your account to a Premium account. Will you be able to do that? We really appreciate it, thank you!
Yeah, I'd love to, maybe right after our national day holiday. I think we'll make our concepts into reality together soon.
