I've searched other threads and some provided some hints, however it seems that the reasons it occur vary case to case. In my case I was able to update the avatar only on IE9, all the other browsers (FF4, Chrome, Safari) failed to update my avatar. I even changed folder (assets) permission to 777 but it didn't solved the problem.
Update Avatar Problem -- After Fatal Error problem (a previous post)with (anahita-1.5.9.2.9243-birth.zip) with failed install of Joomla extension I removed all files & data base & installed (anahita-1.5.9.4.9361-birth.zip) at this point I am unable to Update Avatar w FF, IE, Chrome or Safari. Previously this was not a problem (I am reporting this as a possible persistent Bug & not expecting any support) no files written to ////media/com_socialengine/images/avatar/ folder or any other place I looked
Concerning Update Avatar Problem w anahita-1.5.9.4.9361-birth.zip -- upon review of my error logs after making another attempt to upload avatar I discovered this error... File does not exist: /////component/socialengine/person/1.json - this seems to be an attempted access to a directory & file that doesn't exist.
@Robert I'm afraid we don't answer the type of your question you are asking in this group. Atrium is mainly for the people who would like to learn more about Anahita before signing up for the Premium Tribe account.
If you are experiencing difficulty with your installation please upgrade your membership to Premium Tribe and post your question in the group titled: Anahita™ Social Networking Engine - Support. We will be more than happy to help you resolve your issue there.
Hm, just upload again and refresh your browser. Could be an cookie/cache-problem.

On my own installation. It works perfect on Anahitapolis.
