I'm not quite sure about Nooku Content. Is Nooku Content component installed by default, or do we need to purchase it separately from the Nooku developers?
From what I know Nooku Content will be one of the default features on the NookuServer and yes you will be able to develop additional features that exploit the multi-lingual features.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I heard about the server, but I'm interested in this feature right now, not after 3-4 months (maybe even later). Today, if I download the installation package of Anahita Social Engine, I have the ability to use the multilingual feature? Will i get Nooku Content plugin installed in the system and working as you have described in Translatable User Interfaces feature?
To the best of my knowledge, you will not get Nookuu Content with the current distro of Anahita, maybe once a stable release of Nooku server is released Anahita will be packaged together as a distro. Check out http://blog.nooku.org/category/server/> for more info.
Anahita 1.5 is only shipped with the Nooku Framework. It will be a few months before we use NookuFramework as the web platform. It will take few stages for us to do so.
Right now you can change the translation files in Anahita to translate the user interfaces, however menu items, modules, and articles aren't translatable. Nooku Content (at least the one that I've seen) can provide translation for those items too.
I think Nooku Content is still running on Nooku Framework 0.67, so that's your first hurdle right there: It uses an old version of it's own framework, making it unusable alongside Anahita. Can't imagine that they're not going to update that though, but it seems as if the Nooku gang is focused on other products like Nooku Server, Nooku Desktop and their articles component right now, trying to establish the platform.
Nooku Server is supposed to get multi-lingual features in April according to the roadmap (http://blog.nooku.org/2011/01/a-roadmap-for-nooku-server/), so that's the earliest possible date for the integration with Anahita to happen I think.
We are indeed not going to update Nooku Content to Nooku Framework 0.7, instead the multi-lingual features of Nooku Content will be included into Nooku Server as per roadmap.
I just need to know if I can implement a multilingual feature.
