Just wondering if anyone has given it a try and what impressions you might have and be willing to share?

I never really got in to crowd funding but i read a lot about it. For a Good Project promotion on Kickstarter you'll need definitely a lot of things covered.
A good Article on that is -> This
It's so funny. When you read the comments, no one is treating it as a joke at all.

Like it or not, the world is not a linear system, which is why bullet points (alone) do not work.
PS: Sorry, today I am grumpy :) :)

I talked to an entrepreneur a few days ago and he exactly told me that. I thought someone who was willing to take risks and build a company is more than welcome to get hired.

They often want to challenge the status quo, they don't like bureaucracy and want to find the shortest and most efficient path to solving a problem.
Some companies appreciate that type of spirit especially if they want to revive or maintain the startup spirit in their organization or the department they are hiring for. Having a couple of failed startups on the CV can even be considered an advantage, because a perfect track record in education and work history could mean this candidate is not willing to take risks.
Some companies however are intimidated by the bullish and rebellious nature of entrepreneurs and would rather hire people who don't attempt to challenge their superiors, do as they are told, and operate as a replaceable parts within the corporate machine. In fact people with true spotless records who are good at pleasing the superiors and gradually earning their badges to climb the educational and corporate ladder are the preferred candidates.
An entrepreneur is also less likely to stick around and as soon as they have saved up enough money, they leave their job to start their next venture. That is one more reason that some organizations would rather hire people who need to rely on the corporate system to survive and thrive.
