No more bootswatches in shiraz. Both light and dark theme are native Anahita less files. You can however include boot swatches if you wanted to. We just wanted to have less code to maintain on our side every time that we update the Bootstrap.
What do you mean by bootswatches? Never heard about that. Another question also: How many tasks are open for the new Shiraz that have to be done?

Some major work was done on Shiraz and Anahita's template framework. Soon we will be able to update Anahitapolis with the new template.
interesting to see these changes - seems to be getting more and more flexible lately in terms of adjustments one can make
It goes based on DRY (don't repeat yourself) and COC (convention over configuration) philosophy.

Smallest Shiraz ever http://svn.anahitapolis.com/anahita/branches/development/code/site/templates/shiraz/
The elements folder is interesting. I guess it's the same like Gantry's feature-folder?

The new shiraz is no longer a template, it is technically an Anahita app. No more index.php now there is default.php and other layouts. Now there is a base Anahita template which can be extended.
Sounds great! Is it going to take much to switch over from the current templating system?
it depends. If all you have changed is the variables.less and style(n).less not, all you have to do is to place your files in the appropriate directories in the new shiraz.
Wait....don't we just upload the compiled css file to the production site? I changed template.less, type.less, labels-badges.less, gadgets.less, alerts.less, anahita.less style3.less, style3.css and index.php. I know I know but I wanted to customize a bit ;)
No, just your less files, then switch on debug, refresh one of the Anahita pages in the front in your browser and Anahita compiles a new css file for you.
Ok kool. So it will be the same for the new Shiraz app? Also, the changes I made in the index.php will be done in the default right?

OK params are done. Styles 1,2, and Custom are fixed. All the redundant files are removed and did I mention Shiraz is no longer using Gantry while we did borrow some good ideas from it. Next we are going to refactor the code and template libraries as well as providing some useful methods which you guys can use when you build templates. You can see the Shiraz code in the template branch here http://svn.anahitapolis.com/anahita/branches/template/code/site/templates/shiraz/
Which files do the changes affect? I just got my template where I want it but I'll want to use the updated Shiraz of course.
@james thank you!
@Jennifer in the less files the template.less and style(N).less files have changed. gantry.less has been removed.
@Rastin...so Shiraz is complete and ready now? Can I use it or do you plan to change a lot?
It is not just Shiraz, you will need the next update of Anahita to be able to use Shiraz without the gantry. From now on Anahita provides the template framework. Right now the purpose was to strip everything to its most basic form.
Oh I see. So you want to provide a template framework. My thought was that you want to develope a basic Joomla template based completely on Bootstrap. Like the first template before Shiraz was developed (you remember the old time?).
@Rastin next update meaning 2.0.7? Will Anahitapolis use it at that time as well?

Nice! I actually have a branch of Anahita working perfectly on my machine without Gantry.
